Vinícola Aurora

As wine suppliers to the trade, Go Brazil imports wines from producers including Aurora. The largest producer of Brazilian wine by volume, Aurora is a co-operative which relies on more than 1100 small scale producer-members to supply approx. 50m kgs of grapes annually. The company’s HQ is located in Bento Gonçalves, the town situated at the heart of the Serra Gaúcha wine-growing region.

Aurora markets a vast range of drinks under a myriad of brand names: not just South American wines but also juices, jellies, wine coolers and ready to drink products.

IWC 2011 Commendation

Sparkling semi-sweet white wine produced with a blend of Moscato Bianco and Moscato Giallo grapes, using the Charmat-Asti process. Sweetish aromas, with a hint of flowers and honey. Good balance between sweetness and acidity.

Aurora Reserva Chardonnay

Vinicola Aurora Reserva Chardonnay 2013

12% Abv.

100% Chardonnay. Straw yellow with hints of green. Herbaceous on the nose, with some vanilla aromas and butteriness on palate due to malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. This is a well balanced South American Chardonnay with refreshing acidity.

12.5% Abv.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense ruby colour, with aromas of vanilla and chocolate and a hint of black fruits. Full-bodied with good structure. This Latin red wine from Brazil is well balanced, complex, showing good length.
10 months in French & American oak.
