September 7th 2022 is an auspicious day in Brazil’s calendar, as it marks the 200th anniversary of the country’s independence. This historic bicentennial will naturally be marked by celebrations in Brazil, and throughout the rest of the world.
Indeed in Covent Garden, London, a special event – ‘Casa Brasil’ – is taking place to highlight the best of Brazilian products and services, including its food and drink. The two week long festival will run from 25th August to 7th September, and is open to the public.
Visitors will have the opportunity to sample and buy Brazilian fruit juices, spices, coffee, vegan specialities, wine and cachaça, for example. Go Brazil is proud to be one of the companies selected to participate in this prestigious event, and we’ll be in attendance from 1-7th September.
Brazilian gemstones, furniture and books will also be on show, and there will be daily workshops, seminars and cooking sessions – some 80 different activities in total!
Friday September 2nd has been nominated as ‘Wine & Cachaça Day’, so we would encourage enthusiasts to visit then!
