Guardian newspaper features Brazilian wine!

A great little article appeared today (8th June) in the Guardian newspaper’s ‘Feast’ supplement. Written by food and wine critic Fiona Beckett, it highlights some of the challenges faced by the Brazilian wine industry – not least the recent devastating flooding which has affected some vineyards in the far south of the country.

The level of innovation and experimentation being shown by Brazilian winemakers in both their vineyards and within their wineries, is however very encouraging; indeed, this trend is producing some great results and for us at Go Brazil it is the consistently high quality of the wines which is most telling (along with the positive feedback from our customers!).

Two of our newly imported wines are featured by Fiona:

Don Guerino’s Cemento – a three grape red blend (Cab Franc/Malbec/Tannat) aged in concrete eggs

Garibaldi’s Astral Brut NV – a certified biodynamic fizz produced using the Long Charmat method (extended 12 month ageing on lees in stainless steel tank)
