Guardian wine critic visits Brazil

We are delighted to hear that the Guardian newspaper’s wine critic, Fiona Beckett, has been enjoying a tour around Brazil’s vineyards.

Her online article of 30th January, entitled ‘Six things you (probably) didn’t know about Brazilian wine’ can be read below:

Six things you (probably) didn’t know about Brazilian wine . . . (substack.com)

Perhaps of most interest are points 5 and 6: respectively, the rapid growth and sophistication of Brazil’s ‘oenotourism’, and the increased plantings of vines within tropical regions, where a winter harvest is practised. Not that a wine lover should really need a reason to visit Brazil, but this is a good start..

Fiona is promising another article on 5th February, available via subscription, on the Brazilian food scene.
