Go Brazil were delighted to be invited to a reception held recently at Fazenda restaurant in Bishopsgate, London, in support of a series of prestige lectures to honour the works of Leslie Bethell, a pioneer of Brazilian studies in the UK.
Organised by the Brazilian Institute at Kings College London, the fund-raising event was marked by speeches from the Institute’s director, Dra. Andreza de Sousa Santos and the Ambassador of Brazil to the UK, HE Antonio Patriota.
We understand that the first lecture is planned for 2026 and thereafter will be held annually. Go Brazil will in due course be publishing details of speakers and their chosen topics.
