Further to the success of both the 2021 and 2022 vintages, we’re delighted to be offering the 2023!
The same three grapes feature in this latest ‘Branco’ blend, however the proportions here are slightly different: Assyrtiko (45%), Arinto (30%) and Alvarinho (‘Albariño’ in Spanish, 25%) – a fascinating, if not unique, combination of Portuguese grapes and the Greek Assyrtiko, which is native to the island of Santorini. Remarkably, the wine is produced from a 16 htrs. vineyard situated in the rolling plains of southwest Brazil, on the border with Argentina.
This is a crisp dry white notable for its zingy, refreshing lemon/lime and grapefruit acidity. Subtle hints of peach and saline are discernible on the nose, while the palate is smooth and balanced, underlined by a streak of minerality. Enjoy well chilled as an aperitif or pair with salads, seafood, fish or white meat dishes.
Nb. this 2023 vintage was awarded 91 points in Decanter magazine (Sept 2025), while the previous 2022 vintage received the same score (in Sept 2023).
