A relative newcomer to Go Brazil, this is a top end 100% varietal Cabernet Franc – and the first oak-aged example to join our portfolio.
The wine is an intense, deep pomegranate red in colour, while the nose reveals dark plum and berry fruit aromas, with perhaps a hint of herbs or mint.
Powerful but well balanced flavours continue on a full-bodied palate, with a slightly stalky, herbaceous note discernible too. Barrel-aged for 12 months in French oak, using a combination of 1st, 2nd & 3rd use barriques. Elegant, with a fine structure and a lingering finish, this has excellent cellaring potential.
The previous 2020 vintage was voted Brazil’s ‘Top Cabernet Franc’ by Guerino’s winemaking peers.
