APPEARANCE: Mid-garnet colour, some ageing on rim
AROMAS: Lightly perfumed summer berry fruit, underscored by more earthy and herbaceous notes
TASTE: Ripe damson, quince and touch of strawberry fruit; surprisingly bold and ‘meaty’; shows some traces of spice and also a hint of vanilla as a result of short stint in French oak barrels. Dry with fresh acidity; medium to full-bodied and a lingering finish
FOOD PAIRING: Serve with white meats, duck, goose, game or mushroom-based dishes; may also be suitable with heavier red meats
OVERALL: A gutsy PN for those who appreciate this most noble of grape varieties!
