APPEARANCE: Bright, with a deep purple core
AROMAS: Fresh, vibrant and youthful varietal notes of violets and mulberry, perhaps whiff of tobacco leaf too
TASTE: Restrained overall but has a rich blackcurrant, plummy palate, very well integrated oak and touch of sweetish caramel from French oak barrels. Rounded tannins, decent acidity, medium bodied – not overheavy or spoilt by high alcohol!
FOOD PAIRING: Many possibilities but perhaps best enjoyed with roast chicken, BBQ or grilled red meats, mushroom risotto or mature cheeses
OVERALL: Our bestselling red in 2018, 2019 & 2020, a very approachable and versatile wine!
