Continuing our quest to bring you the best quality and most interesting wines from Brazil, the latest addition to our Go Brazil portfolio is this Irsai Olivér, an early-ripening grape variety originally of Hungarian origin. Available now!
Perfumed and with intense fruit aromas, this is a light-bodied dry white wine with lowish acidity. Palate shows hints of spice – not dissimilar to Muscat – so may make a good accompaniment to oriental dishes.
Sourced from the Garibaldi co-operative winery which, alongside several other unusual varieties, have planted the Irsai Olivér in a ‘experimental’ vineyard.
Lowish alcohol makes this white very suitable for outdoor spring/summer quaffing!
