Tannat wines have become increasingly sought after by Go Brazil’s customers in recent years, both as single varietals and in blends, and now we are proud to introduce a new example produced by the Garibaldi co-operative.
Medium-bodied and deep ruby in colour, this Tannat, branded under the winery’s VG Reserva label, was only lightly filtered before being aged in used French and American barrels for some 10 months.
With its surprisingly rounded tannins, the result is a balanced and approachable wine, with notes of leather and spice mingling with dark berry fruit flavours.
Indeed, we recommend enjoying on its own or paired with well seasoned red meat dishes, game or mature cheeses.
