We have acquired a small parcel of the 2012 vintage of this superb ‘Bordeaux’ style blend – an iconic red wine from one of Brazil’s best known wineries. Full tasting note will follow.
2012 vintage twice awarded 91 points by Decanter magazine (October 2018 & October 2019).
Now approaching maturity, the Lote 43 shows hints of mocha, dark chocolate, spice, tobacco and licorice aromas, underpinned by a concentration of bramble and blackcurrant fruit. With previously firm tannins now softening, this is a full bodied, powerful and complex wine. Recommended with beef, venison or lamb.
14% Abv. This blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon & 50% Merlot was vinified separately, then aged for approx. 12 months in French oak barrels. Bottled unfiltered; will benefit from decantering.
