This Brazilian red wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot. Red purple, with shades ranging from ruby to ocher end edges.Good intensity, and highlighting the aromas of aging (Bouquet). Aroma descriptors: – Prune – jellies – leather – tobacco – truffles – currant – mint – vegetable – Wicker – nuts. Presents a great volume in the mouth, a sensation of greasiness and denoting body, with ripe tannins and pleasant persistence and a remarkable end-of-mouth.

The grapes were hand picked in boxes of 20 kilos from the best vineyards of Miolo Family, the Lot 43. The grapes were selected by hand on a selection table. In destemming the grapes were stripped in a special machine, and soon after the stalks, grape berries suffered a slight pressure, just enough to release the juice without crushing the shell. The alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a temperature from 28 to 30 º C for approximately 15 days. Simultaneously held the first maceration with pumping over the dissolution of color and tannins. After the fermentation tanks were closed and the wine was 15 to 20 days in contact with the skin for enhanced dissolution of polyphenols (maceration post-fermentation). The pulp was placed in a pneumatic press, and the resulting wine was mixed with the other, thereby obtaining a single standard of wine much more structured. Malolactic fermentation takes place spontaneously and immediately complete the pressing and sometimes starts already during the postfermentation maceration. In barrels the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon wines were aged separately, 50% in new barrels of American oak and 50% in French oak barrels for a period of approximately 12 months. After aging were harvested from 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine was bottled without filtration, to ensure greater aromatic intensity. After bottling the wine was “stowed” in the cellars of Miolo to rest.
