A new wine (for Go Brazil) from the always impressive Pizzato winery, this is one of three reds from their Allumé range that we launched early in 2025, initially in small volumes.
It’s a 100% Cabernet Franc, produced using grapes sourced from Pizzato’s own two vineyards, the surrounding Serra Gaúcha region and beyond in the wider state of Rio Grande do Sul.
Aged partly in a combination of new and second use French oak barrels, both low and medium toast; partly also in stainless steel tank.
Showing plentiful aromas of red cherry, plum, herbs and a touch of spice, this is a lovely supple, medium-bodied red which winemaker Flávio recommends with red meat, game, cheese and well-seasoned pasta dishes.
Clean, minimalist style label; bottled under cork.
