After pandemic-induced cancellations and postponements, the world’s largest wine fair, ProWein, took place recently in Düsseldorf.
Although normally held in March, Covid restrictions obliged organisers to re-schedule the 2022 edition to May (which meant a clash with the London Wine Fair, since moved to June 7-9th. See news article above..).
Perhaps unsurprisingly, total visitor numbers at 38,000 were well below the usual pre-pandemic 55,000 but, as visitors ourselves, it allowed for a much more comfortable, relaxed experience.
As well as meeting new and existing Brazilian suppliers (watch this space for developments!), importantly we had time to sample wines from a number of other country stands – always of interest, and good to be able to benchmark against our own Go Brazil portfolio.
