Watch Pizzato’s Drone Footage

Have you ever wondered what Brazil’s ‘Vale dos Vinhedos’ (Valley of the Vineyards) actually looks like? A reminder: this region is the cradle of modern Brazilian wine making, located in the Serra Gaúcha hills in the country’s far south, where settlers from northeast Italy arrived in the 1870s and first started to plant vines..

Take a look at this marvellous drone footage supplied to us by Flávio Pizzato, chief winemaker at his family winery, which is sits adjacent to the Valley: Voo Pizzato.mp4 (dropbox.com)

This bird’s eye video is of the family’s original, principal vineyard, which is at an altitude of between 450-550m and covers around 26 hectares. A second vineyard, which produces their ‘Fausto’ range, lies around 40kms away.
