Year of the Metal Ox begins

12th February marked the beginning of the Lunar New Year, celebrated in China, Vietnam, South Korea and other many other Asian countries and communities across the world.

Coinciding this year with Brazilian carnival (which sadly didn’t take place), celebrations to mark the Year of the Ox will continue until February 26th.

Fish, dumplings, spring rolls and noodles are traditionally on the menu at this time of year.. and while we at Go Brazil no experts, it seems that this would be the time to try some White Wines – or perhaps some Vegan or Vegetarian options.

After the rollercoaster that was 2020, let’s hope some of the Ox’s characteristics – hardworking, dutiful, disciplined, methodical and calm – will be felt in 2021!
