Garibaldi Astral Biodynamic Brut NV

Another first from Go Brazil, as we launch the only Demeter-certified biodynamic Brazilian wine on the UK market!

Produced by Garibaldi, a highly respected co-operative comprising some 450 member families, this is a limited edition NV sparkler made with both Chardonnay (75%) and Pinot Noir (25%) grapes, under their prestigious Astral label.

Clean and citrussy fresh on the nose, then with an intriguing tang of orange or tangerine on the palate, this is a lowish alcohol, dry, elegant fizz – almost Extra Brut in style.

It is made using the ‘Long Charmat’ method, so secondary fermentation takes place in tank and lees contact is extended to 12 months. With its persistent fine bubbles, generous mousse and bready/brioche aromas, this could easily pass as a Trad Method sparkler!
