After a hiatus of several years we’re delighted to be able to bring you Geisse’s stunning, top-ranked Trad Method Rosé. 

This is a fabulous dry – Extra Brut – sparkling wine which was awarded 93 points by Decanter (in 2020) and Descorchados (in 2021). Made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes harvested on the property, just 4000 bottles were produced.

12% Abv, 6gm res.sugar/ltr., 36 months lees ageing.

Description

ABV: 12%

APPEARANCE:  Clear, bright, onion-skin pink

AROMAS:  Intriguing, complex nose shows soft red fruits, honey, hazelnut, rose petals and dill

TASTE:  Fresh, soft creamy palate reveals strawberry flavours overlaid with biscuity toastiness. Medium bodied, reflecting the brief stint in barrel enjoyed by the wine prior to bottling. Delicate mousse and fine bubbles, with long persistence on finish

FOOD PAIRING:  Best enjoyed well chilled as an aperitif

OVERALL:  Top of the range aged pink fizz, wonderfully subtle flavours, drinks superbly

Produced by Familia Geisse, whose founder Mario Geisse headed up Moët & Chandon’s Brazilian operations in the 1970’s, this is a sophisticated, excellent value 100% Pinot Noir sparkler
