The best way of getting into the festive spirit – or the party season – is by enjoying a bottle of Brazilian bubbly. This year our best value sparkling wine, which is ideal for the new year as well as Christmas, is our Amadeu Brut Rosé 2021 (Trad Method). This is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes and, at £19.99, is a great value dry pink fizz. It’s equally suitable for formal or informal occasions.
Our Best Wine to Drink with Turkey or Chicken
We would recommend our Don Guerino Reserva Pinot Noir (£14.99) if you are having a traditional Christmas dinner of turkey, chicken, or something similar. This wine is a medium-bodied, smooth-drinking Pinot Noir which is packed with red berry fruit and showing hints of spice and vanilla.
Our Best Wine with Other Meats
Many people are happy to eat meat at Christmas, but don’t enjoy the taste of turkey or chicken. If you are cooking for guests who prefer beef, venison, ham or any other not-quite-so-traditional Christmas dinner meats, then our choice would be the Campos de Cima Assinatura 2020 (£24.99). This is a superb blend of Tempranillo, Tannat, Shiraz and Carbernet Sauvignon and produces a robust, full-flavoured, barrel-aged red which will benefit from decanting.

Figures from leading market research organisation YouGov suggests that as many as one in 10 of the UK population is now either a vegetarian or vegan. Out Best Wine to Drink with Fish
YouGov says around 3% of Britons are pescatarian – that is, they won’t eat red meat or poultry, but are happy to eat fish or other seafoods.
